BBC2 launches search for Britain’s Best Young Speaker
The BBC are about to launch a brand new program which will raise the awareness of the importance of public speaking in a modern world. The Speaker which is a kind of X-Factor for Public Speaking will show an original 160 applicants going through auditions in front of a panel of judges to select just 20 to be put forward to the next stage.
This is for teenagers between 14 and 18 years of age. We will finally hear what our young people, the future leaders of the country perhaps, have to say for themselves. The contestants will have to undergo a series of challenges with people being eliminated along the way. Toastmaster admits Addiction
You just cannot keep Steve Graham away from Toastmasters. He has just been made President of Cottonwood Speakers in Bournemouth, for 2008-9, and was the only nominee this year, despite a thriving club.
